I have always been passionate about graphic design and how impactful it can be in our everyday lives. From the clothing we wear to our favorite coffee shop or a product we use everyday. It’s everywhere. Good design keeps people intrigued and creativity communicates with our everyday life.
Why I Became A Graphic Designer
I have always loved doing all things art, whether it was making crafts, drawing cartoons or painting. It wasn’t until high school where I truly figured out that graphic design was my calling and that being an accountant wasn’t for me. I was in a Fine Arts class and right next to our class, there was an Intro to Graphic Design class being taught. The students were arranging typefaces with graphical elements to create a logo for running shoes. This was right up my ally! After graduation, I took a 3-year Graphic Design Diploma course at UFV and never turned back.
I now have over 15 years experience in a variety of design areas such as logo design, branding, packaging design, promotional material, trade show design/management and a little website design.
